Allen & HeathXone:96 (USB 1 port)USB (UAC2)USB 22f0:001a44.1–96 kHz, 32 bitnonesoftwareReportedUSB soundcard of a DJ mixer: it takes 12 channels only (S16_LE or S32_LE, no DSD). bitwerk plays stereo bit-perfect on USB channels 1/2 and silence on the others; select USB on the mixer channel that receives USB 1/2. No hardware volume: leave the player at 100 % to stay bit-perfect and set the level with the mixer’s channel fader.

AlloBoss DACI²S HATallo-boss-dac-pcm512x-audio44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonehardware (Digital)Documented
AlloBoss2I²S HATallo-boss2-dac-audio44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonesoftwareDocumented
AlloDigiOne / DigiOne SignatureS/PDIF HATallo-digione44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitdopsoftwareDocumentedDoP over S/PDIF only works if the downstream DAC recognizes DoP; with a 176.4 kHz carrier, DSD64 is the maximum.
AlloKatanaI²S HATallo-katana-dac-audio44.1–384 kHz, 32 bitdopsoftwareDocumentedWhether DoP or native DSD works depends on the driver version: if aplay --dump-hw-params lists DSD_U32_BE, use HIFI_DSD=native.
AlloPiano 2.1I²S HATallo-piano-dac-plus-pcm512x-audio44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonehardware (Digital)Documented
AudiophonicsI-Sabre ES9038Q2M / ES9028Q2M (incl. Kali Edition)I²S HATi-sabre-q2m44.1–384 kHz, 32 bitdopsoftwareDocumentedThe card ID is the generic DAC, so bitwerk recognizes the board by its overlay in config.txt. Use hw:CARD=DAC,DEV=0 unless another card is also called DAC. DSD travels as DoP (DSD64 at 176.4 kHz, DSD128 at 352.8 kHz). The I-Sabre driver has its own digital volume; until it is tested, keep bitwerk on software volume at 100 % or fixed volume to stay bit-perfect.
AudiophonicsI2S DAC (ES9023 / TDA1387)I²S HAThifiberry-dac44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonesoftwareDocumentedSame overlay and codec as the HiFiBerry DAC+ Light, so the player cannot tell them apart: it shows I2S DAC (PCM5102A); give it its own name in the web UI (Settings → Player → Output). No hardware mixer: software volume at 100 % or fixed volume stays bit-perfect.
HiFiBerryAmp4 / Amp4 ProI²S HAThifiberry-amp4pro44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonesoftwareDocumentedRecognized by its TAS5754M codec (tas5754m in the card’s PCM name, overlay hifiberry-amp4pro). An Amp4 loaded with hifiberry-dacplus-std reports the PCM512x codec of the DAC+ and shows up as a DAC+; give it its own name in the web UI (Settings → Player → Output).
HiFiBerryDAC+ HDI²S HAThifiberry-dacplushd44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonesoftwareDocumentedAlso the DAC2 HD: same overlay, card and codec, so it shows up as DAC+ HD; give it its own name in the web UI (Settings → Player → Output).
HiFiBerryDAC+ Light / DAC+ Zero / MiniAmpI²S HAThifiberry-dac44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonesoftwareDocumentedOther boards without a control interface load the same overlay and report the same codec (Audiophonics ES9023/TDA1387 boards, many PCM5102A boards), so the player cannot tell them apart: it shows I2S DAC (PCM5102A); give it its own name in the web UI (Settings → Player → Output). No hardware mixer: software volume at 100 % or fixed volume stays bit-perfect.
HiFiBerryDAC+ Standard / DAC+ Pro / DAC2 Pro / Amp2I²S HAThifiberry-dacplus, hifiberry-dacplus-std, hifiberry-dacplus-pro44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonehardware (Digital)Documented
HiFiBerryDigi+ / Digi2 ProS/PDIF HAThifiberry-digi, hifiberry-digi-pro44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitdopsoftwareDocumentedS/PDIF output without a volume mixer. DoP only works if the downstream DAC recognizes DoP; with a 176.4 kHz carrier, DSD64 is the maximum.
Raspberry PiDAC ProI²S HATrpi-dacpro44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonesoftwareDocumented
Raspberry PiDAC+ / IQaudIO DAC+I²S HATrpi-dacplus, iqaudio-dacplus44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonehardware (Digital)DocumentedAlso matches the IQaudIO DigiAMP+ on older images, which load iqaudio-dacplus,unmute_amp.
Raspberry PiDigiAMP+I²S HATrpi-digiampplus44.1–192 kHz, 24 bitnonesoftwareDocumentedLoad the overlay with unmute_amp: dtoverlay=rpi-digiampplus,unmute_amp.

Status: Verified = tested on maintainer hardware at every release. Community = at least two independent reports. Reported = one report. Documented = taken from the manufacturer documentation, not yet tested with bitwerk. Known problems = works only with restrictions, see notes.

Not listed, or not bit-perfect? Run the DAC report on the player and send it to us; it works without a GitHub account. The report lists what the DAC offers (USB ID, formats, rates, mixers) and holds no serial numbers, host names or network addresses. If your DAC works, the same report helps it become a “Community” entry.

What do you want to tell us?

The report holds no serial numbers, host names or network addresses. Nothing is sent until you send the email yourself. With a GitHub account: request support or report a DAC.
